Our Story

The Meaning Behind HRSetu

Setu means "Bridge" in Hindi and Sanskrit. HRSetu was built to bridge the gap between everyday HR operations and the complex world of Indian statutory compliance.

"Running payroll should not require a chartered accountant at every step — it should be intuitive, automated, and always compliant."

When the New Wage Code 2019 was enacted, it fundamentally changed how salaries must be structured — requiring that core wages constitute at least 50% of total CTC. Many businesses struggled to restructure their salary breakdowns. We saw this challenge and built HRSetu: a purpose-built platform that takes a single CTC input and automatically computes all 17+ salary components in full compliance with Indian labour law.
